MS READaTHON 2010 took place from 15th October to 15th November 2010 with 67,000 children participating. Promoted through public libraries and schools, the MS READaTHON encourages young people to read, while raising much needed funds for services for people living with Multiple Sclerosis. Entries were also welcome from “grown-ups” and Book Clubs. A Prize Draw takes place annually for participants, teachers and librarians. Louise McGrath, Branch Librarian, Ballymote Branch Library submitted the winning entry on behalf of Sligo Library Services in the 2010 Librarian category.
